Pokémon GBA cheat-code guides
Open the guide for the exact cartridge or ROM being used. For ROM hacks, also match the hack’s release number. Never assume codes for a paired game will be interchangeable.

Game Boy Advance cheat FAQ
Are GameShark and CodeBreaker codes interchangeable?
No. Choose the format supported by the guide and your device or emulator. Converting or placing a code under the wrong cheat type can prevent it from working.
Why does a GBA code freeze the game?
The usual causes are a mismatched region or revision, an incomplete code, a missing master code, or conflicting cheats. Reload an untouched save and test one code at a time.
Can Ruby codes be used in Sapphire or Emerald?
Do not assume so. Paired and enhanced versions can store values at different addresses. Use the separate guide for the exact title.
